Ultimate Arctic Expedition
LOCATION(S):
The Canadian Arctic
SEASON:
July/August
Our guests had always dreamt of exploring the Arctic - not just the usual Northwest Passage cruise but deep into the northernmost areas on the globe with only their private guide. So we set out to explore some of the Arctic’s largest islands - including Ellesmere Island, Devon Island and Somerset Island. Over the course of two weeks, the team hiked mountains, crossed glaciers, explored walrus colonies, tracked polar bears, saw narwhal, belugas, whales, muskoxen and more. We also mountain biked the tundra, fished for Arctic char, kayaked amongst icebergs and explored some of the oldest archeological sites in the Canadian Arctic - an area where humans inhabited nearly 4500 years ago.
